Fast Release! 24/7 Writ Bonds for Shoplifting or Theft charges in Collin County.

In Texas, Theft of Property (this includes shoplifting) is defined as “unlawfully appropriating property with the intent to deprive the owner of the property.” Sec. 31.03

…an offense under this section is:

(1) a Class C misdemeanor if the value of the property stolen is less than $100;

(2) a Class B misdemeanor if:

(A) the value of the property stolen is $100 or more but less than $750;

(B) the value of the property stolen is less than $100 and the defendant has previously been convicted of any grade of theft; or

(C) the property stolen is a driver’s license, commercial driver’s license, or personal identification certificate issued by this state or another state;

(3) a Class A misdemeanor if the value of the property stolen is $750 or more but less than $2,500.

Retail shoplifting is one of the most common theft of property charges in Collin County.  Depending on the amounts listed above, it is either charged as a Class A or a Class B misdemeanor, and an Attorney Writ Bond will get the person released quickly.  The preset bond amount for a shoplifting or theft of property charge in Collin County is 350.00 for a Class B, charge and 500.00 for a Class A charge.  If you post a “cash” bond with the jail at the time of the defendant’s release, then this amount is refunded at the end of the case.

Nobody wants to be in jail any longer than they have to be.  Jail, by design, is usually pretty miserable. When selecting an Attorney to provide a Writ Bond and secure the release of your loved one, it makes sense to choose an Attorney who you can trust to get the job done quickly and effectively without stressing you out even more.   We invite you to call us and get the answers to the questions that you have.
